Our Purpose
Literacy Florida! supports Florida’s adult literacy volunteers and their programs. Literacy Florida! provides information and services to literacy volunteers and providers in communications and networking, technical assistance and training, public affairs, advocacy, and student leadership.

We are a combined force of former Laubach Literacy and Literacy Volunteers of America affiliates as well as other community-based and agency-sponsored programs utilizing volunteers across the state.

We are eager to partner and collaborate with local, regional, and state-wide literacy providers to improve the lives of all the citizens of Florida.

• A newsletter for and about volunteer literacy efforts
• Putting local programs in touch with trainers, special materials, and other resources designed particularly for literacy volunteers
• Informing ProLiteracy America of Florida’s needs and interests – and vice versa
• Special training events and seminars done in cooperation with the Florida Literacy Coalition, the State Library Literacy Programs, and the Regional Literacy Centers
• Providing special events for and advocating for adult students
• Holding an Annual Literacy Florida! Meeting and arranging for special workshops and roundtables at the Florida Literacy Coalition Annual Conference
