New and Improved LINCS

The Florida Literacy Coalition (FLC), your State Adult and Family Literacy Resource Center, recently launched a new and improved website, www.floridaliteracy.org. It offers an easy to navigate library of resources for practitioners, administrators, adult learners and others interested in literacy. Sections include:

  • Facts and Statistics
  • Policy and Legislation
  • Tutor Training
  • Grants and Funding
  • Calendar of Events
  • Research Articles and Curriculum materials
  • Free Materials
  • Access to the Literacy Information aNd Communications System (LINCS).

The Literacy Information aNd Communications System (LINCS) is a cooperative electronic network of National LINCS at the National Institute for Literacy (NIFL), four regional partners and representative national organizations. It offers valuable, easily accessible literacy resources and encourages an information exchange nationwide. LINCS is the nations largest repository of practitioner developed adult literacy resource materials. It can be accessed by going to: www.floridaliteracy.org and scrolling to the bottom of the homepage.
